Funeral

Wed Oct 14, 2009, 12:21 PM
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain
Why the early bird gets the worm
Life isn’t always fair,

and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

He declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student, but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home without the burglar suing you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents Truth and Trust, by his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility, and his son Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers: I Know My Rights; I Want It Now; Someone Else Is To Blame; and I’m A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

It's true. I bought Scribblenauts and it is incredibly fun! I think I've already spent like two hours playing it and doing random things. I put God and the Devil in a fight which amused me greatly. Along with a pirate versus a ninja! Guess who won?
XD
Not telling! Well, if you ask I'll tell but I don't want to possibly 'spoil' it for those who don't.
A word of warning though, God vs a Vampire? God turns into like a zombie/vamp minion.
RUN TO THE BOMB SHELTER!
;D
Dinosaurs are very fun to play with on it as well. All animals are cool.

In other news KH: Days comes out on Tuesday and I can get my pre-ordered copy.
Also bought a pink curly wig for cheap at Hot Topic because I thought it would be good to use in my Cheshire Cat costume and if I ever find a way to straighten it I could use it for a Marluxia Cosplay. If not I can go to Anime Boston as Cheshire Cat, I'm sure that'd be fun.
Catch ya later! XD

Cannibals Are Quite Civil

School this year pretty much sucks. Upperclassmen said sophomore year sucks and they were right. I'm drowning in schoolwork and I almost flipped out in Spanish today.
I'll be honest folks, Spanish culture is cool. The language is incredible.
But I hate learning it, I'm just not good at learning new languages.
If it wasn't for the whole, "College's like to see four consecutive years of language" bullshit I would drop Spanish faster than you can say "Pokemon of the day".
~~~
:icontoejones:'s contest ended and I am anxiously waiting to find out the winners.
Go Shawn!
~~~
I'm mad tired lately and joined Speech Team. I'm going to start in Kiddie Lit or Prose first so I don't have to memorize. It seems fun and everyone is really nice.
Plus, :iconaben1994: and :iconbeegicisacat: are in it too now.
I want to make a claymation for the film festival for school this year and I'm joining Art Club again.
And, in final news, my English teacher terrifies me.

Videos are hard work

Fri Sep 11, 2009, 2:30 PM
Seriously guys, I'M A HORRIBLE MOVIE WRITER.
My plots have super huge holes. Plus, when I do write a pretty good idea and develop it I realize that it is too expensive/impossible for a mere un-employed high-school student with limited time and resources to make it.
So.....HELP?
Anyone have any good ideas? Our video has to be like, five minutes at most. I'm completely unable to think of anything and need an idea quick.
:iconotlplz:
All my creative ideas and brain power are gonna go into a story this weekend.
